Washington University Program in Physical Therapy is conducting a clinical trial comparing two different frequently administered treatments for LOW BACK PAIN. The study involves coming to our lab for an initial visit where you'll answer a series of questionnaires, complete a physical therapy exam, and a 3-D computer analysis of your active movements. This visit runs 3-4 hours and you are compensated for your time. There are no drugs as part of this study. After your first laboratory visit you will start 6 weeks of physical therapy, 1 time a week for 1 hour each week. After 6 weeks of physical therapy you will come back into the lab for a follow up visit, this is similar to the first with the exam, questionnaires, and 3-D computer analysis. Again this runs about 3-4 hours and you are compensated for your time. We then follow up with you for the next 12 months through phone calls and mailings at 6 months & 12 months.
